Washington Wizards star guard Bradley Beal doesn't like US president Donald Trump. He made it known recently after the 71-year-old rescinded his White House invitation to reigning NBA champions Golden State Warriors.

Now, Beal is back at it again, doubling down on his stand against the president who he described as more of a “clown” than a leader, per Candace Buckner of The Washington Post.

Beal used a clown emoji in his recent tweet about Trump, so it's not surprising that he backed his claim with a more bold opinion about the current leader. And according to Buckner, the 24-year-old said it's something he firmly believes in.

The former Florida Gators standout isn't the first NBA player, and probably won't be the last, to express his disapproval of Trump, especially after the president attacked and questioned athletes' practice of free speech.

LeBron James already called Trump a “bum” in what has been his most retweeted post ever, while Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant has also chimed in on the issue. Even Beal's teammate, John Wall, didn't hide his disappointment and claimed he doesn't respect Trump at all.

Donald Trump's political views and values certainly don't sit well with athletes, who have been using their platform to foster equality and fight against hate and violence. However, with how things are going, the backlash likely won't stop any time soon.
