The Washington Wizards held a five-point cushion with just under a minute left in their game against the Boston Celtics on Sunday. But instead of holding on, they had a massive meltdown which Jayson Tatum took advantage of. Bradley Beal had some choice words for his team's performance.

Per Fred Katz of The Athletic, Beal slammed the Wizards' execution late in the game. Not only did he commit a silly turnover, but they gave free buckets to Tatum towards the end.

“Some of the goofiest shit I’ve ever seen in my life. Slipped out of bounds. Gave Tatum three layups at the end of the game.”

Below was Beal's blunder which was easily the costliest turnover in the game. The Wizards just needed to safely inbound the ball and wait to be fouled. They succeeded in inbounding the ball. But a slippery floor decided to sabotage the Wizards' win.

And in the next possession, Tatum made a clutch shot which gave the Celtics a one-point lead. This eventually turned into the game-winning basket.

The loss marks the Wizards' third loss in the last 10 games. This is still a noteworthy feat given how horrific their start was. But Beal knows that they need every victory that they can get if they want to turn things around.

Right now, they have a 13-19 record. There's a ton of games left to play which means that Beal and the Wizards have a lot of chances to iron out their play. Their loss on Sunday against the Celtics will definitely be one of those games they'll review with great focus.
