Washington Wizards point guard Isaiah Thomas says Jamal Crawford, JR Smith and Iman Shumpert should be signed by NBA teams right away.

All three players are currently unrestricted free agents:

Jamal Crawford played with the Phoenix Suns last season. The veteran scorer averaged 7.9 points, 1.3 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 64 games while shooting 39.7 percent from the field, 33.2 percent from beyond the arc and 84.5 percent from the free-throw line.

Crawford, 39, scored 51 points on April 9 against the Dallas Mavericks.

JR Smith played in 11 games with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2018-19 before the franchise exiled him. He averaged 6.7 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.9 assists with the Cavs while shooting 34.2 percent from the floor, 30.8 percent from the 3-point line and 80.0 percent from the charity stripe.

The Cavs waived Smith on July 15 after not finding a trade partner for him.

Iman Shumpert split time between the Sacramento Kings and Houston Rockets last season. The Chicago native played in 62 games and averaged 7.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.8 assists. Shumpert shot 37.4 percent overall, 34.8 percent from beyond the arc and 80.0 percent from the free-throw line.

The Wizards signed Isaiah Thomas to a one-year deal in free agency this summer. He will battle Ish Smith in training camp for Washington’s starting point guard spot. Wizards All-Star John Wall is expected to miss the entire 2019-20 season recovering from his Achilles tear.

Thomas played with the Denver Nuggets last season, but fell out of the playing rotation and didn’t play at all during the 2019 playoffs. The lefty averaged 8.1 points, 1.1 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 12 regular season games while shooting 34.3 percent overall, 27.9 percent from the 3-point line and 63.0 percent from the charity stripe.
