Washington Wizards star point guard John Wall got a tattoo on his neck of his mom, who is battling cancer.

John Wall told reporters before the All-Star break the sad news about his mom. The All-Star point guard is out for the season after undergoing a season-ending left heel surgery and tearing his Achilles tendon after slipping at his house.

Wall says along with his rehab, his biggest priority is spending time with his mom, who raised John as a single mom in Raleigh, North Carolina.

When Wall was inducted into the University of Kentucky Hall of Fame back in 2017, the former No. 1 overall pick gave an emotional speech where he started crying when he began to talk about how much his mom sacrificed for him. Everyone should keep the Wall family in their prayers right now, as John has things much more important than basketball and rehab to worry about right now.

Wall played in 32 games this season for the Wizards. He averaged 20.7 points, 3.6 rebounds and 8.7 assists per contest while shooting 44.4 percent from the field, 30.2 percent from beyond the arc and 69.7 percent from the free-throw line. Wall's worth ethic is not to be questioned and he will come back strong from this injury.
