The Washington Wizards will be without the services of veteran point guard John Wall for Monday night's matchup against the Pacers. According to a report from Fred Katz of The Athletic, the five-time All-Star has been ruled out due to left heel soreness.

Wall, who recently welcomed his first child into this world, played in Saturday night's loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers. However, he scored just one point (0-for-5 from the field, 0-3 from beyond the arc) in 26 minutes of action. Coming into Saturday's game, the former Kentucky Wildcat was averaging 21.3 points per game.

Clearly, something was wrong.

“I didn't have to look at (the stat sheet),” Wall told ESPN after Saturday's loss to the Cavs. “I already knew it without looking at it. First game of my life. One free throw. No field goals.”

Wall later told ESPN that he's been dealing with a bone spur in his left heel for a while. He received treatment in the locker room following the game.

“I couldn't move,” Wall noted. “Couldn't run. Probably shouldn't have played. That's my fault….I've had it for a while.”

With Wall ruled out for Monday's game, Bradley Beal will likely be called on to run the offense. Guards Tomas Satoransky and Austin Rivers will also see an uptick in their usage rates.

In his 25 appearances with the Wizards this season, Wall has racked up averages of 20.4 points on 43.8 percent shooting from the field (31.5 percent from beyond the arc), 8.3 assists, 3.5 rebounds, 1.6 steals and 1.0 block in 34.2 minutes per outing.

Monday night's Wizards-Pacers game is scheduled to tip inside Bankers Life Fieldhouse at 7:00 p.m. EST.
