John Wall may the best player on the Washington Wizards, but he also recognizes that other players on the roster have gigantic roles.

Wall, who himself plays great on both ends of the floor, said recently that Bradley Beal was the “MVP of our team” so far this season, and is seriously advocating for him to be in the All-Star game.

“One of four guys to have a 50-point game,” Wall said of Beal. “He's been leading us through ups and downs when I was injured, when (Markieff Morris) was injured, when Otto (Porter) was out. Even when us guys was back, he was still leading our team and leading our team in scoring. But just doing so much more for our team, I think it should be an automatic lock for him to be an All Star.”

Beal has indeed played extremely well for the Wizards this season. He's averaging a career-high 23.6 points per game, per Basketball Reference, and is shooting an effective field goal percentage of 51.1.

Many have been waiting for Beal to turn the corner as a basketball player for several years. Beal has battled injury throughout his career, and at times has been inconsistent of the floor.

It appears that this may be the year that Beal finally figures it out. As Wall said, Beal has played very well regardless of who is on the floor, and has taken more of a leadership role with the team this season.

It'll be interesting to see how much Beal can sustain this play when the Wizards reach the playoffs. That is the time Washington will need Beal the most.
