Washington Wizards point guard Russell Westbrook finally made his return to the floor in their game against the San Antonio Spurs. It was evident that he needed more time to establish his footing once again as he only came out with measly numbers that led to a loss on Sunday night.

After the game, Westbrook shed light on his shortcomings and understood that he needed to come out with better performances in their coming games, via Fred Katz.

Westbrook also insisted that he is already in full playing condition after he was asked regarding the current situation of his quad injury.

The 2017 NBA MVP last saw action on Jan. 8 against the Boston Celtics where he tallied 12 points, eight assists, and four rebounds en route to a 116-107 loss.

He then sat out the team's next two games against the Miami Heat and the Phoenix Suns, respectively, before the Wizards were forced to have six of their games postponed after failing to field the required minimum of eight players on the floor.

After almost two weeks of absence, the team finally returned against a Spurs side that was eager to halt its two-game losing skid. Bradley Beal topped the Wizards in scoring once again as he led with 31 points and seven rebounds. Westbrook failed to be productive as he was only limited to nine points, eight rebounds, and six assists.

Washington simply didn't have an answer for a streaky Spurs offense that was bannered by seven players scoring in double digits led by Dejounte Murray. The Wizards ran out of gas in the fourth quarter as they ultimately succumbed to a 121-101 defeat for their ninth loss of the season.

After a subpar outing, Russell Westbrook will have to quickly find his rhythm on the floor, especially when he takes on his former team in the Houston Rockets on Jan. 26.
