The Washington Wizards had a volatile practice within recent days, with verbal altercations occurring among several players, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

The Wizards have started the season at 5-11 and once again look like a dysfunctional team.

This shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone. The Wizards have no leadership in their locker room and the team's core has been together for too long. John Wall and Bradley Beal are good players, but they lack true leadership qualities. The two All-Stars have already called out players on the team for playing selfish this season.

Year after year, the Wizards enter the season feeling good and say they are going to be one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference. Once the season starts, though, Washington shows exactly why no one takes them seriously. The Wizards are all talk. On paper, they have a good team, but there's no chemistry on the floor. Guys don't even look like they want to play with each other. There's no communication on defense and players seem to be more interested in scoring their own points rather than playing team basketball.
