The New York Yankees have announced that they have signed three of their key players to contracts for the 2022 season.

Gary Sanchez has a tendered contract for the Yankees. Domingo German agreed to a $1.75 million contract. Gio Urshela has also been signed for the 2022 season with a $6.55 million deal.

This is all the Yankees have done so far this offseason. It has been nothing short of a disappointing early offseason for the Yankees organization. It's unclear what Cashman is doing, but he certainly is not going out and getting players to help the Yankees contend for a World Series.

If the Yankees want to get back to being the organization that everybody wants to beat, they need to start spending money like they used to. There is no excuse why Robbie Ray, Kevin Gausman, Corey Seager, Marcus Semien, and countless others were not signed by the Yankees. They did not sign one of the major free agents so far this offseason. The only way that they can make up for this is by signing somebody like Carlos Correa and adding a few pitchers like Carlos Rodon, or Frankie Montas.

Brian Cashman needs to start figuring it out, and he needs to do so soon. If the Yankees don't make any new additions to their team, they're going to have another disappointing season that sees them getting eliminated from the playoffs earlier than what fans are hoping for.
