Binging with Babish takes viewers on a culinary tour to the foods of movies, TV, and video games. Andrew Rea, the man behind the food, offers play-by-play commentary as he tries to recreate the food we only see in media. His show evolved from a simple YouTube cooking show to a sizeable internet production house that surrounds food and how to cook them. Recently, Babish worked to bring the foods of Monster Hunter World to life. The timing could not be better as the episode premiered a few days following the release of Monster Hunter Rise.
BRINGING MONSTER HUNTER TO LIFE
Massive feasts always play a starring role in Monster Hunter games. Players load up on delicious food before heading out to subjugate deadly creatures. The food in-game offers a variety of bonuses that help in the hunt. The food in real life may not offer buffs but they still look as appetizing as they do on-screen.
Monster Hunter World food is prepared by a muscular cat chef and his army of skilled cat cooks. The video from Babish doesn't include bipedal anthropomorphic cats but Rea takes his time to explain each step of the food creation process.
Monster Hunter World is not the first video game franchise to featured on the show. Binging with Babish featured food from Portal, Skyrim, Red Dead Redemption 2, Apex Legends, and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The format of Binging with Babish can help players get into trying cooking the food from their favorite games. The show hasn't covered every single famous game franchise yet but there are an infinite number of great videos to enjoy.
