AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is the latest football star to test positive for COVID-19. This shocking report comes straight from the Italian club, who are now taking the necessary precautions following this recent development.

This report comes via Joe Shread of Sky sports:

AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has tested positive for coronavirus, the Serie A club have confirmed.

The club say that they have informed the “relevant authorities” and that Ibrahimovic will now enter a period of quarantine at home.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is currently on his second spell with Milan, and the 38-year-old has looked as sharp as ever in his triumphant return to Italy. The Swedish international has scored three goals in his first two appearances for the club, including a brace in his team's 2-0 win against Bologna in what was Milan's opening Serie A match.

Ibrahimovic is as tough as they come, so we're positive that he should be able to overcome the virus unscathed. As a matter of fact, it would not be surprising if he resumes his scoring spree once he recovers in a couple of weeks' time.

As for Milan, the club confirmed that no other member of the team has tested positive in their latest round of tests aside from Ibrahimovic. It is worth noting, however, that defender Leo Duarte also tested positive earlier in the week.

Ibrahimovic is currently on a one-season deal with Milan. He may still be a scoring machine at this point in his career, but there's no denying that Father Time is already catching up to the living legend. Let's enjoy him while he still can.
