Devin Vassell is heading to Texas, with the San Antonio Spurs selecting him with the No. 11 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft.

Vassell played his college hoops at Florida State. He's a 6-foot-6 wing player and projects to be a classic 3-and-D player in the NBA.

In 2018-19, Vassell averaged 4.5 points and 1.5 rebounds while shooting 43.7 percent from the field, 41.9 percent from beyond the arc and 67.9 percent from the free-throw line in 33 games. He played only 10.7 minutes a night.

However, Vassell's minutes increased in 2019-20 and so did his production. The Georgia native averaged 28.8 minutes per game and finished the campaign with averages of 12.7 points, 5.1 boards and 1.6 assists. Vassell shot 49.0 percent overall, 41.5 percent from the 3-point line and 73.8 percent from the foul line.

Vassell finished his college career with averages of 8.4 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 63 games. His best game came on February 1, 2020 against Virginia Tech. Vassell went off for 27 points in 33 minutes while shooting 8-of-10 from the field and a perfect 7-of-7 from the 3-point line. That was the game where NBA scouts started salivating at Vassell's potential in the pros.

Every team in the NBA needs wing players who can stretch the floor with their shooting skills, so Devin Vassell figures to have a long career in the league as long as he stays healthy.
