The Atlanta Hawks now have less than two weeks to make a decision as to what they are going to do with the first overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. Although there is talk around the league that the Hawks could look to trade down, this organization is considering three names with the No. 1 overall pick: Zaccharie Risacher, Alex Sarr, and Donovan Clingan. It just so happens that these are the three players who have occupied the top three spots on the 2024 NBA Draft Big Board.

Clingan and Sarr are two frontcourt players who could make an instant impact during their rookie campaigns due to their defensive efforts. Whereas there are unknowns surrounding Sarr since he played in the NBL this past year, Clingan is a proven two-time champion with the UConn Huskies. Then there is Risacher, who projects to be the best 3-and-D wing in this draft class that many teams have ranked at the top of their big boards.

A decision to draft one of these three players over the others is one the Hawks may not have a final answer on until their clock runs out on June 26 and commissioner Adam Silver walks across the stage to reveal who the first pick in the 2024 NBA Draft will be. This debate between Risacher, Sarr, and Clingan is one that will have a drastic effect on how the entirety of the draft plays out.

Other news surrounding the NBA Draft Big Board focuses on the withdrawal deadline. Those who wanted to return to college in order to retain their eligibility were forced to make their decisions on May 29. Key names such as Alex Karaban, Mark Sears, and Hunter Sallis all decided to return to college in hopes of improving their skill sets ahead of the 2025 NBA Draft next year. However, this was not the only withdrawal deadline ahead of this year's NBA Draft.

Sunday marked the final day for any player who declared early entry to withdraw their name from the 2024 NBA Draft, specifically those who are looking to begin their NBA journeys from overseas. Izan Almansa, Thierry Darlan, Zacharie Perrin, and Bogoljub Markovic were notable international players who ended up withdrawing their names from the draft ahead of Sunday night's deadline. Originally thought to be a first-round prospect at the start of 2024, Almansa's draft stock had slipped in recent weeks, resulting in his decision to pursue an opportunity overseas before declaring for the 2025 NBA Draft.

With several players who were featured on our 2024 NBA Draft Big Board 3.0 withdrawing from the draft, a handful of new names have been added in their place with just over one week until the stage will be set in Barclays Center.

Much will change over the course of the next nine days, but based on my early evaluations and observations, as well as feedback and opinions from scouts, team executives, and others, here is ClutchPoints' 2024 NBA Draft Big Board 4.0 and Top 100 rankings, starting with some intel on who is rising and falling, as well as the debate at No. 1 overall.

Donovan Clingan's advantage over Zaccharie Risacher, Alex Sarr

The Hawks are strongly considering two-time national champion Donovan Clingan with the first overall pick, league sources told ClutchPoints. Clingan made a name for himself during his freshman year by being a lengthy rim protector who showed his potential perimeter game on offense. During his sophomore season, Clingan really took a major step forward offensively by once again having a steady interior presence in terms of scoring and rebounding.

Teams looking for frontcourt help evaluate prospects on two main factors: defensive impact and pick-and-roll skills. Clingan is not the fastest center, but he possesses excellent footwork and thrives in pick-and-roll sets. Should he go to Atlanta, he would immediately make an impact next to All-Star point guard Trae Young.

Defensively, Clingan will likely rank inside the top 10 in blocked shots during the 2024-25 season. Clingan just has a knack for contesting jumpers without fouling, and his 7'7″ wingspan allows him to guard virtually any player on the court. Compared to Risacher and Sarr, who are both international prospects teams haven't seen a whole lot of in person, Clingan may just be the safest pick with the most upside right away.

However, the argument that Sarr is the best frontcourt prospect at the top of the NBA Draft big board is fixated on his physicality as an on-ball defender. Sarr has the size, length, and lateral quickness to defend on the perimeter as well as in the low post. If the Hawks pass up on the opportunity to take Sarr first overall, there is no way he would be falling past the Washington Wizards with the second pick.

Then there is Risacher, who is the prospect found at the top of many teams' NBA Draft Big Boards. Risacher is 6'10” and moves really well out on the wing. Unlike Sarr, Risacher has worked out with the Hawks. Could this signal that Atlanta already views the French forward as a better overall prospect than the French big man?

The fact of the matter is this first overall pick has no clear-cut answer for the first time in years. The Hawks may very well take every second they have to come to a final verdict on draft night. Then again, don't be shocked if Atlanta generates trade buzz and potentially move down a few spots.

Devin Carter, Cody Williams make strong top-10 cases

Two of the biggest risers over the last two weeks during the pre-draft process on the NBA Draft Big Board have been Devin Carter from Providence and Cody Williams from Colorado. The top 10 of the NBA Draft Big Board already features skilled guards like Reed Sheppard, Nikola Topic, and Stephon Castle. Now, Carter has added his name to this list and may just end up being a top-10 pick due to his two-way abilities as a combo guard.

Originally thought to be a first-round pick outside of the lottery, Carter has drawn significant interest from teams with top-10 picks. The San Antonio Spurs, Memphis Grizzlies, Utah Jazz, and Chicago Bulls all have interest in Carter, league sources said. Current Grizzlies assistant Anthony Carter is Devin's father. Could it be destiny that this father-son duo ends up on a dynamic Memphis team looking to regain their respect from the rest of the league during the 2024-25 season?

Williams is the younger brother of Oklahoma City Thunder star Jalen Williams. Although he is still very raw in terms of what type of talent he could become, Cody has generated buzz as high as the Detroit Pistons with the fifth overall pick. However, some teams view Williams as a risky pick due to his unproven abilities at the college level.

Wherever Williams ends up, he will begin his NBA career as an offensive project. But his defensive upside, athleticism, and quickness make him the type of player many teams have a need for right now. As far as long-term upside goes, Williams finds his name near the top of a lot of NBA teams' Big Boards in that category ahead of the draft.

Tidjane Salaun is another player who has flown up draft boards in recent weeks. It would be very shocking if he did not hear his name called in the lottery portion of the NBA Draft. Kel'el Ware, Tyler Kolek, and DaRon Holmes II have also moved up many teams' rankings and are all projected to be first-round picks.

Rob Dillingham, Dalton Knecht slipping?

Jordan Prather-USA TODAY Sports

Teams continue to have a hard time evaluating Rob Dillingham's scoring abilities at the college level and how his game may translate to the NBA. While there is no doubt that he has suitors in the lottery, Dillingham has been dealing with an injured ankle throughout the pre-draft process, resulting in minimal on-court activities.

There are no questions about his character, as teams that have spoken with Dillingham love his demeanor. But the concerns surrounding the Kentucky guard pertain to his strength and height, resulting in some teams targeting other guards in this draft class ahead of him.

Still, Dillingham is a terrific shot creator who could end up being a steal if he falls in the NBA Draft. The Spurs have been linked to Dillingham due to his personal interest in joining them, according to ESPN's Jonathan Givony. The Grizzlies are another possible landing spot for Dillingham if they were to prioritize adding depth behind and next to Ja Morant. It is unlikely that the Charlotte Hornets, Portland Trail Blazers, or Pistons would target Dillingham inside the top 10. The Bulls could be an intriguing spot for Dillingham, as he would fit in nicely next to Coby White.

Whether or not Dalton Knecht possibly falls in the NBA Draft depends on who may rise above him. Carter and Williams are two players who could end up hearing their names called inside the top 10 on draft night, which would likely push Knecht to the back end of the lottery.

Nonetheless, Knecht has been linked to the Blazers, who have a strong interest in pursuing him with one of their two lottery picks, sources said. The question is whether Portland thinks they could grab him at 14th overall, or if they would need to select the Tennessee product at seventh overall. The Grizzlies and Jazz have also been named potential landing spots for Knecht, as have the Oklahoma City Thunder at No. 12 overall.

Still, Dillingham and Knecht are only “falling” because other players have proven more during the pre-draft process. They are both still in play to be top-10 picks on June 26.

Other discussions pertaining to stocks fluctuating immediately turn to Purdue big man Zach Edey. There is no doubt that teams have been intrigued by Edey's attitude throughout the pre-draft process. His shooting confidence and ability to knock down multiple perimeter shots in succession during workouts have also left some teams with a higher outlook on Edey's ability to make an impact right away. Whether or not Edey has the motor and endurance to be a serviceable big man is the key question some organizations have been skeptical about.

While there is a belief from some teams that Edey will be on the board past the 20th overall pick and late in the first round, the consensus right now points to Edey's range being 12-20 in the draft. It is certainly possible that a team looks to trade up for him if he is on the board at 16th overall or 17th overall, as the Philadelphia 76ers and Los Angeles Lakers are both exploring trade opportunities with these selections, sources said.

Other centers with first-round grades in this draft include Yves Missi, Kel'el Ware, DaRon Holmes II, and Kyle Filipowski. Out of these four big men, Ware and Holmes have the most suitors, sources said. There have been whispers around the league surrounding the Thunder being linked to Holmes. Could Oklahoma City have been the team to give Holmes a first-round promise, thus the reason he ended the rest of his scheduled pre-draft workouts? Although he isn't viewed as a potential lottery pick, there is a lot of interest in Holmes around the league.

Missi and Filipowski have not fallen, but there are growing expectations that guards and wings will be prioritized in the 20-30 region of the draft. This could lead to one of these big men being available at the very end of

Isaiah Collier is another player teams are looking to gather more last-minute details about due to his unforseen dive down some draft boards. There are a few teams in the 20-30 region of the NBA Draft attempting to bring in Collier for a last-minute workout with the mindset that he could fall to them, despite being ranked as a lottery pick on many teams' Big Boards.

With the 2024 NBA Draft taking place in just over one week, here is what my full NBA Draft Big Board and Top 100 Rankings look like.
