Currently in the midst of a productive season playing for the lowly Detroit Pistons, there's no denying that Jerami Grant could use a change of scenery. Especially considering how much success he previously had playing alongside Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray on the Denver Nuggets.

Plus with the emergence of Cade Cunningham and Saddiq Bey to go along with the continued development of Luka Garza, the Pistons already possess plenty of promising young talent. So really there isn't much room for Grant to continue expanding his game while helping this non-contending team to reach new heights.

Not to mention Jerami Grant would be much better off playing for a title contender where he could have a huge impact and fill a major area of need for a team that's built to compete for an NBA championship this season. As Grant's name continuously comes up in trade rumors around the league, we'll now discuss the three contenders that should trade for the multi-skilled combo forward.

Chicago Bulls

As they've gotten off to a hot start to their 2021-22 campaign, the Chicago Bulls have progressed into one of the best two-way teams in the league. Despite their early-season success, they have still suffered a major setback with the untimely injury of Patrick Williams who's set to miss 4-6 months with an extensive wrist injury. The addition of Grant would be a major upgrade for the Bulls and shore up their frontline while giving them another pair of active hands on the boards.

With his well-rounded offensive game and versatile defensive presence, Jerami Grant would be a perfect fit playing next to Zach LaVine, Lonzo Ball, DeMar DeRozan, and Nikola Vucevic. With the Bulls already having made serious leaps and bounds through their first 15 games of the season, making a trade for Jerami Grant would only elevate their status and increase their chances of making a surprise run to the Eastern Conference Finals.

Miami Heat

Another Eastern Conference powerhouse that's immensely improved their play on both ends of the floor, the Miami Heat would be an ideal destination for Grant. Between his diverse skillsets and a proven resume as one of the league's best combo forwards, Grant would thrive playing in the Heat's innovative system of position-less basketball.

Add that the Heat's championship pedigree and a deep and talented roster that features NBA All-Stars Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo, and Kyle Lowry, and Jerami Grant will have landed himself in the perfect situation. Under the guidance of title-winning head coach Erik Spoelstra, Grant would transform into an All-Star caliber forward and embody the Miami Heat mantra with his productive two-way play.

Los Angeles Lakers

After completely reshuffling their roster this offseason, the Los Angeles Lakers had high hopes heading into the 2021-22 NBA season, but things haven't at all gone to plan for them. It's still too early into the season to know how everything will pan out for the Lakers, but with a slew of injuries to their roster and a lack of youth and athleticism on their roster, it goes without saying that the Lakers could use more depth in that department.

Granted they did add Malik Monk, Kendrick Nunn and still have Talen Horton-Tucker in their rotation, Nunn has been out injured and THT is still a work in progress for LA. Monk has been productive for the Lakers at times, but adding a young talent with All-Star potential like Jerami Grant would really bolster the Lakers front line and give them a solid frontcourt player to pair with Anthony Davis.

It would also give them another young star to play to with AD after LeBron James retires or moves on to a new team. If the Lakers want to stay competitive in the deep and gritty Western Conference while adding another franchise cornerstone, then this is a move they should absolutely consider prior to the 2022 NBA trade deadline.
