In a little more than a month, Obi-Wan Kenobi will start streaming on Disney+ with a two-episode premiere. Once it does, Star Wars fans everywhere will get a ticket back to the Galactic Civil War, the franchise's most popular era, and get a glimpse of what the old Jedi has been doing during his exile on Tatooine.

But since this is Star Wars we're talking about and it's literally filled with countless characters, there's a pretty good chance a couple of them could pop in and out of Obi-Wan Kenobi during the course of its series. Doing so will make this show more exciting than everyone anticipated it to be. We take a look below at four characters that must appear in this Ewan McGregor-starrer.

Cal Kestis

star wars jedi fallen order next-gen upgrade

During the time Obi-Wan Kenobi is set in, the Jedi have been exterminated to no end, Among the few who have been fortunate to escape the Empire's clutches is Cal Kestis, the young Padawan who figured prominently in EA's Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

Looking at the timeline, there's no reason for these two Force users to meet at some point. The older and more experienced Obi-Wan Kenobi can serve as a great way for Cal Kestis to be properly introduced into the Star Wars universe. The pair could momentarily meet and have them go on their separate ways in the span of a single episode. In turn, this can generate hype for Kestis, which can lead to more appearances on film or television, or create more momentum for further sequels to Fallen Order.

Obviously, this is a win-win for Star Wars fans and Disney itself. With the Jedi lore being expanded by a younger and more dynamic character, there are bound to be more stories told if Kestis himself gets fleshed out better, hopefully, in Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Captain Rex

Those who are familiar with Star Wars: Clone Wars and watched all of its seven seasons know how awesome Captain Rex is. Popularly known as a captain of the 501st Legion, this Clone Trooper's story throughout the animated show become one of its biggest draws. And with his apparent closeness to Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi, the potential to fill in the gaps during this part of his history in Star Wars lore looks to be a promising one.

At this point in time, Rex has been discharged from the Empire's service. While there has been no mention of the former Clone Trooper captain meeting Obi-Wan in Rebels or other Star Wars shows, there are ways to make this happen. Whether it's the Jedi making Rex forget they even met or the latter keeping their encounter a secret, their live-action meeting will surely hype everyone who loves the franchise. In any case, this potential moment will surely make Obi-Wan Kenobi a must-watch on Disney+

Commander Cody

Taking the idea of bringing Captain Rex a little further and you've got Commander Cody showing up on Obi-Wan Kenobi. While Rex was closer to Anakin Skywalker, Cody is no doubt Obi-Wan's most trusted clone commander. Of the two, Cody is more rigid and likelier to follow orders, making him the perfect companion to the more senior Jedi.

Of course, that wouldn't be the case anymore when the series starts because Obi-Wan himself is now an enemy of the Empire. Meanwhile, Cody is expected to still serve the former Republic in some manner. These two can meet at some point during the series, have a confrontation centering around their clashing beliefs, and take it from there. The potential for drama here will show a new side to Star Wars and make it into something more than just a space adventure.

Yoda

While seeing the previous three guys on Obi-Wan would be great, it would make more sense to see Yoda make an appearance on this Disney+ show. Before the two went on their separate ways in Revenge of the Sith, the diminutive Jedi Master promised the former master of Anakin Skywalker how to commune with Qui-Gon Jinn.

Other than the much-awaited rematch against Darth Vader, seeing Yoda help Obi-Wan talk to his late master would be a moment every Star Wars fan will love. It'll tie up some loose ends from the prequel trilogy, explain how it connects to the original films, and even set up some Easter eggs for future projects. In any case, Yoda's possible appearance here would be definitely talked about.

While it's still more than a month before Obi-Wan premieres, there's plenty of time to catch up on the crucial movies and shows that lay the foundation for this Ewan McGregor series. One thing's for sure, though. This new show will be the talk of the town in the coming months.
