Coming off a highly controversial season that was filled with a series of personnel and culture changes, Derek Carr and the Las Vegas Raiders were able to turn things around in the second half of the campaign and make their first NFL Playoffs appearance since 2016. However, they fell short against the red-hot Cincinnati Bengals and were unable to advance past the wild card round.

Even though Carr has played lights out for the Raiders and remains one of the premier quarterbacks in the NFL, the team has not seen much success. A lot of this has been due to injuries, but a ton of it also comes down to execution and chemistry. Perhaps Carr would do better with a change of scenery and play for a squad that has already built a winning environment.

Let's now take a look at the four best destinations for Carr if he gets shipped out.

4 best landing spots for Derek Carr if Raiders trade him

4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Now that Tom Brady has officially retired, this leaves a major void at the quarterback spot for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Carr would fit in seamlessly while playing in their explosive and versatile offense with his innate playmaking abilities, killer arm strength, and mobility. Especially if the team is able to re-sign Leonard Fournette, Chris Godwin, and Rob Gronkowski this offseason.

Carr would be joining a ready-made contender in Tampa Bay, and under coach Bruce Arians, he may even add a few moves to his well-rounded offensive repertoire. On the Buccaneers, Carr would be able to start a new chapter and immediately compete for a Super Bowl.

3. Tennessee Titans

After another subpar showing in this year's postseason from Ryan Tannehill, it goes without saying that the Titans will be looking for a major upgrade at quarterback this summer. In Carr, they'd be getting a highly efficient presence in the pocket who would keep the chains moving for them all season long.

Not to mention, he'd be able to form killer on-field chemistry with Derrick Henry, AJ Brown, Julio Jones, and Anthony Firkser with the potential to lead the Titans to their first Super Bowl title in franchise history. There's no doubt that this move would be the ultimate game-changer for the Titans. If they want to advance deep into the postseason and win it all, then trading for Derek Carr could be the move that gets them to the top.

2. Seattle Seahawks

This would be the perfect swap for the Raiders and Seahawks as it would give both Carr and Russell Wilson a fresh start with young, athletic, and dynamic offensive units that are in search of a new man under center. In Seattle, Carr would have an electric receiving duo to work with in DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett, who have both proven themselves as top-notch deep threats in the NFL.

Plus with a reliable backfield consisting of Chris Carson and Rashaad Penny, Carr would have a new and improved offense to play in while getting the opportunity to lead the Seahawks to another NFC West title. Carr could be a part of an exciting chapter in the Pacific Northwest while making Seattle a dark horse title contender.

1. Washington Commanders

Now that Washington isn't planning on bringing back Taylor Heinicke, the team will once again be in search of a top signal-caller this offseason. While playing for the newly named Commanders, Carr could be a part of an exciting young squad that's hoping to get back to the NFL Playoffs and make a deep run.

Led by coach Ron Rivera, Carr would be able to execute the Commanders' game plan to perfection with multi-skilled players like Antonio Gibson, Terry McLaurin, Logan Thomas, JD McKissic, Curtis Samuel, and Ricky Seals-Jones at the helm. With Derek Carr in the pocket, the Commanders would have a well-balanced offensive attack that could win them back the NFC East and provide them with a leader who would keep them competitive all year long.
