The Bosa Family not only has two current professional football players in the house, but two that will play in the state of California in 2019-20. With Los Angeles Chargers defensive end Joey Bosa previously joining the NFL ranks a few years back, his younger brother, Nick Bosa, recently became a member of the San Francisco 49ers by way of the 2019 NFL Draft.

Although his younger brother has yet to play a single down as a NFL defender, the elder Bosa still believes that the 49ers newcomer will ultimately become the best football player in the famed family.

“When it's all set and done, I think he will be [the best],” the Chargers defensive lineman recently told ESPN.

Of course, Nick was selected by the once-heralded 49ers with the No. 2 overall pick in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft while the former Ohio State Buckeyes standout came off the board behind only Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray.

“High-motor defensive end prospect possessing NFL play strength on a well-muscled, compact frame,” reads his 2019 NFL Draft profile on NFL.com. “Bosa uses forward lean, smart hands and impressive upper-body power to pry open edges against the run and pass. He can defeat single blocks and fits as an end in both 4-3 and 3-4 fronts with the ability to reduce inside as a rusher. His lack of fluidity in space could prevent him from becoming an elite rusher, but he understands how to play and should become an early starter and future Pro Bowler.”

The 49ers remain primed for a significant turnaround in 2019-20, with Bosa partially to thank at this point in the offseason.
