When news broke that Christian Cage was going to address the fans assembled in the Little Ceasers Arena, not to mention those watching from home, on AEW Dynamite, it didn't seem like things were going to go particularly well for Jungle Boy, who has been absent for two weeks with an injury.

As it turns out “particularly well” was being generous, as the former friend of Edge went right for the throat despite being asked to apologize for his disparaging comments leveled towards JB's deceased father Luke Perry. Instead, Cage suggested he wished the entire Perry family was dead, minus JB's mother, whom he wants a call from for presumably dastardly reasons.

But that wasn't the worst part of the segment for Jungle Boy either. No, that happened shortly thereafter, when, after Cage pointed out that he was wearing street clothes, a new song by Mikey Ruckus, dubbed “Fossil Fuel” hit in the arena and a new, evil Luchasaurus walked to the ring under the command of Christian.

Poor Serpentico, he thought he was booked for the rare match on Dynamite and was instead taken to town by a leaner, meaner version of Luchasaurus without his typical moral compass to weigh him down.

What gives? Has Luchasaurus turned his back on his pal Jungle Boy, who he has known for well over a decade according to Excalibur, or is this all part of a grander plan to get back at their former friend and elevate the Jurassic Express to heights even higher than when they held the tag team championship belts? The forthcoming weeks will tell us a ton.
