Andrew Nicholson has signed a deal worth around $1 million to play for the Guangdong Tigers of the Chinese Basketball Association, international basketball guru David Pick reports.

Nicholson was recently waived using the stretch provision by the Portland Trail Blazers, who acquired him earlier this offseason as part of the trade that sent Allen Crabbe to the Brooklyn Nets.

Drafted No. 19 overall by the Orlando Magic in 2012, Nicholson signed a four-year, $26 million deal with the Washington Wizards last offseason.

However, he failed to break into new Wizards head coach Scott Brooks’ rotation. He was traded midseason to the Nets, where he also didn’t get an opportunity to play.

Andrew Nicholson appeared in just 38 total games for the Wizards and the Nets last season, averaging 2.6 points and 1.6 rebounds in nine minutes per game.

Nicholson will now join former NBA player Yi Jianlian on the Guangdong Tigers, who made it all the way to the CBA Finals last season before getting swept by the Xianjing Flying Tigers.
