Apex Legends Legacy update brings a lot of new features to the battle royale game.

Apex Legends Legacy Release Date: May 4, 2021

The big Legacy update for Apex Legends arrives on May 4, 2021, at 10 AM PDT. That's just several hours from now, so you better gear up for the new features coming with the update.

Perhaps the biggest change in the game is the arrival of the new Arena game mode. We think that this new game mode may be the future of Apex Legends esports. The 3v3 game mode allows players to showcase their gunslinging skills in a controlled environment, allowing for a more competitive approach. As a permanent game mode, it's a great addition to an already fantastic game, adding more variety and flavor for fans to enjoy.

Apex Legends new Legend: Valkyrie, the Winged Avenger

Apex Legends Legacy also brings a brand-new Legend: Valkyrie, the Winged Avenger. She has an awesome jetpack, a missile barrage ability, as well a take-off ability. Her added mobility doesn't just benefit her either: her allies can hook up to her take-off systems for a fun ride to the moon.

Apart from a new character to play as, Legacy also brings changes to Olympus map. As part of the game's story, large roots and natural growths have infested Olympus, adding new elements to the environment. A new weapon also becomes available: the Bocek Bow. You might think: why would I bring a bow in a gunfight? Well, skilled players can make use of this mid-range weapon, as it deals massive damage when it hits the mark.

Of course, Legacy also brings a new Battle Pass and a Legacy Pack that gives players an aesthetic advantage over their opponents with a Torquoise Sun skin for the new Legend, Valkyrie.

When the game's updates rolled out at 10 AM, PDT, Apex Legends servers experienced issues thanks to enthusiastic fans.
