Tammy Abraham has found himself on the outside looking in at Chelsea ever since Thomas Tuchel took over the reins last season for Frank Lampard. With rumors swirling that he could be on the move to Aston Villa or West Ham, Arsenal has now entered the race for the out-of-favor striker, according to the Telegraph.

It's no secret the Gunners have been in absolute shambles since last season after finishing in eighth place and missing out on European football altogether. Abraham would undoubtedly be a solid addition to the Arsenal frontline, having bagged 21 Premier League goals across the last two campaigns. The youngster netted 15 times in his debut season with the Blues in 2019/20 as well.

However, Mikel Arteta's side would need to offload some players first in order to fund a move for the ÂŁ40 million rated attacker. Alexander Lacazette is expected to be on his way out of North London, while Granit Xhaka and Lucas Torreira could be sold as well.

Arsenal just saw their preseason start off in disappointing fashion in a defeat to Scottish side Hibernian. They frankly need all the help possible in order to fight their way back into the top-six after a rather quiet transfer window to this point.

Tammy Abraham grew up a Gunners fan and has been a long-time admirer of Thierry Henry. With minutes at Stamford Bridge expected to be limited for him once again in 2021/22, it only makes sense for Abraham to take his talents elsewhere. Arsenal could certainly benefit.

Chelsea is also looking to potentially include him in a package to bring Erling Haaland to the club, but Borussia Dortmund remains adamant about not selling their prized possession.
