Chicago Bears head coach Matt Nagy did not have much to say with regard to quarterback Justin Fields' possible broken ribs. Bears insider Adam Hoge tweeted his very simple response.

Midway through the 3rd quarter, Justin Fields took a hit to the midsection and was not able to stay in the game. Veteran quarterback Andy Dalton entered for Fields and almost led Chicago to an improbable win Sunday. The Bears led 13-9 with less than a minute left, but Ravens running back Devonta Freeman scored with 22 seconds left. Chicago lost 16-13 and fell to 3-7 on the season.

Prior to leaving the game, Fields was struggling. He had only completed four of 11 passes for 79 yards, no touchdowns or interceptions. Fields added 23 yards rushing on four attempts. He was looked at under the blue tent before being taken to the locker room.

Prior to Sunday, Fields had appeared to be progressing lately. He put in a decent performance last week vs Pittsburgh, throwing for a career high 291 yards. The week prior Fields rushed for over 100 yards and threw a touchdown pass as well.

After the game, Nagy failed to announce who his starting quarterback would be on Thanksgiving. “Justin's played his tail off. He's played really well,” Nagy said. “Justin's done everything that we've asked him to do to be able to grow as a quarterback. He got hurt. So he's done everything to be the starter, continue to be the starter.”

Chicago travels to face the winless Detroit Lions Thursday.
