Chicago Bears head coach Matt Nagy had insisted that veteran Andy Dalton would be the starting quarterback when healthy. Justin Fields started the last two weeks after Dalton suffered a knee injury against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 2. The rookie suffered through a nightmarish debut start in Week 3 against the Cleveland Browns, getting sacked nine times as part of a historically low offensive output. However, Fields bounced back against the Detroit Lions to get his first NFL win.

The youngster showed off his incredible arm talent against the Lions, completing multiple explosive plays after the Bears struggled to move the ball down the field in the earlier games. Nagy loves the growth Fields has shown, which is why the decision has been made to stick with him as the starter.
