Those hoping the struggling Chicago Bears will bench Mitchell Trubisky won't be getting their wish.

On Monday, Bears head coach Matt Nagy stated that Trubuisky will remain under center for the club, saying that the third-year quarterback made a lot of good throws during Chicago's loss to the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, according to Jason Lieser of The Chicago Sun-Times.

Most Bears fans would probably disagree.

While Trubisky was not atrocious in the defeat, he was hardly impressive, completing 23 of his 35 passes for 253 yards and an interception. He also lost a fumble.

On the season overall, Trubisky has made six starts, throwing for 1,092 yards, five touchdowns and three picks while completing 64.6 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 81.4.

It should be noted that he suffered a dislocated left shoulder and a partially torn labrum back in Week 4, causing Trubisky to miss the Bears' Week 5 loss to the Oakland Raiders in London, so perhaps he is not 100 percent.

Still, these problems existed long before Trubisky's injury, and Bears fans are getting understandably frustrated.

Chicago got off to a 3-1 start this season, but it has since lost three straight games. It is certainly not all Trubisky's fault, but if the Bears had better quarterback play, they would probably be in a better situation right now.

Trubisky, who played his collegiate football at the University of North Carolina, was originally selected by Chicago with the second overall pick of the 2017 NFL Draft, eight spots ahead of Patrick Mahomes and 10 places before Deshaun Watson.

It seems like the Bears would like to have that pick back.
