God of War PC is finally here, and it's a marvelous game, especially if it's your first time playing it. For returning players, then there are the improved graphic settings and mappable controls to look forward to, as well as ultrawide support. However, there aren't actually a lot of new features to be found in God of War PC. No worries, though, as mods always make things better. Just a few days since launch, there are already a dozen or so mods available for the game. There would be more coming, for sure, especially since the game's director and other devs actively encourage fans to mod the game. So, there's no shame to make or consume these God of War PC mods, some of which we highly recommend you try out on your own version of the game:

The Best God of War PC Mods Available Now
Odin – Reshade (by kyOuZz_-) – Want a darker, sharper, more frigid environment? The game isn't dark enough for you? Then this mod is perfect for you. The Odin – Reshade mod recolors the game and increases the contrast up a notch to make shadows more prominent and the world a little bit dimmer.
GOW Regrade (by RIMBUSTA WONKA) – If the bleak world of God of War given to you by the Odin – Reshade isn't to your liking, then have this more grounded graphic enhancement by RIMBUSTA WONKA. This one enhances the graphics by enhances colors, shadows, and tonemapping sharpness, which doesn't take things too far but make the graphics feel more vibrant and alive.
God of War NG Plus Save File (PS4 Import) (by enzonahuy) – Did you finish God of War on your PS4, enjoyed the game, and want to experience the game all over again on the PC, but don't want to go through the trouble of collecting everything again and grinding? This PS4 import by enzonahuy provides you with an NG+ save file import with fully upgraded armor, complete skill trees, and boosted runes that put the GOD in God of War.
New Game Plus Star File (by Delish) – If you want to start on an NG+ playthrough right away but don't necessarily want to start the playthrough with maxed-out stats, then this is a good way to do it. This will provide you a little bit of challenge, but given that it's an NG+ playthrough, you still get a lot of carried over stuff that will make some game beats a walk in the park.
Vulkan Launcher (Instanity666) – You should get this if you're playing with an AMD graphics card. You're going to get about 10 FPS on average, which is a quick and easy way for AMD users to increase God of War‘s framerate since they have no access to the game's DLSS settings that is exclusive to Nvidia.
Skip Playstation Intro Startup Video On Startup (by Instanity666) – Want the game to go straight to the main menu as soon as you boot up the game from Steam? This mod eliminates the PlayStation Intro startup video at the start, saving you precious seconds of your time, which you could probably use to learn how to become a better father.
Windows 7 Patch for God of War (by okt004175 alan2350) – Still playing on old hardware? Stuck on a Windows 7 OS? You might end up not being able to run God of War at all. For the few people out there still on Windows 7 and want to play God of War PC, then this mod is for you.
Invisible Chest Armor (by Paul-Scott) and Invisible Wrist Armor (by Trollaxethrowerr) – God of War PC does not have a nude mode yet, but that doesn't mean you can't have Kratos baring his muscular pecs all the time. Want to see his biceps clearly? There's also a mod for you.
Clean Invisible Armor and Wrist Wrist Armor (by VVvisalVV) – Like above, but packaged in one neat mod.
As time goes on, this list will continue to grow.
