Portland Trail Blazers star Carmelo Anthony just put Patty Mills on skates. Melo busted out a jaw-dropping crossover just before draining a buzzer-beater as the clock expired in the first quarter of Friday's tilt against the San Antonio Spurs.

Here's Melo with one of the nastiest crossovers we've seen in a while:

Patty Mills was caught in no man's land as he fell completely for Melo's crossover and head fake combination. It also looked like Carmelo Anthony thought about going up for a three for a second there, but instead decided to take a closer jump shot/floater instead. He did a double-clutch on his shot attempt as well, making this sequence even more impressive.

The Blazers were without Damian Lillard in this one, with the Portland superstar forced to sit out due to a hamstring issue. Anthony and the rest of the Blazers roster will need to pick up the slack sans Dame as they look to improve their standings in the West.

Entering Friday's matchup against the Spurs, Portland was sitting at the sixth spot in the conference. The Spurs, on the other hand, are just one game outside the playoffs picture in the West and they clearly had a lot more riding in the contest.
