Portland Trail Blazers guard CJ McCollum had an interesting reaction to Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James attempting (and miserably failing) a Damian Lillard-type logo shot. McCollum has been taking a bit of heat for allegedly throwing shade at LeBron for his botched attempt, which the former has decided to address in a recent interview.

McCollum set the record straight, explaining why he wasn't actually trolling LeBron with his tweet:

“No. First and foremost, I know ‘Bron so it’s different,” McCollum explained, via Lindsey Wisniewski of NBC Sports. “When people see me make jokes and stuff. People are on the outside kind of watching, they’re like oh he’s trying to do this. These are all things that I would say to him because I’ve known him since I was like 13 years old. It’s not like I’m hatin,’ it’s just like if Dame shot an air ball, I would do the same thing to him.

“Like logo Dame, you gotta get closer, but I like how he held it up.”

In case you were wondering, here's McCollum's:

Technically, McCollum didn't really say anything. He did, however, include no less than seven (yes, we counted them) laughing emojis so clearly, he was having a bit of fun at LeBron's expense.

Be that as it may, as CJ explains, he and LeBron have a good relationship and this gives him the right to call out the four-time NBA champ in public. That is what the Blazers guard is saying, right?

Honestly, though, do you see CJ McCollum coming out with a similar reaction if it were Lillard who threw up an airball from 30 feet out?
