Damian Lillard was selected on the All-NBA First Team. He was definitely happy about it. To recall, he felt he got snubbed a couple of times before that. However, not everyone agreed with his inclusion in the elite team.

Some critics and NBA fans believe that Lillard did not deserve to be part of the All-NBA First Team. After an impressive regular season campaign where the Blazers locked the third seed, the Portland entered the playoffs and were swept by the sixth-seeded New Orleans Pelicans in the first round.

Lillard did not let his haters get a free pass. Via his Twitter account, he posted a hilarious photo, apparently addressed to his haters:

While there is a strong argument that Lillard should not be included in the All-NBA First team, it should be noted that the votings are based on the regular season.

And as per NBA.com, Lillard had the individual statistics to boot, which translated into wins for the Blazers during the long season. He logged in 26.9 points (43.9% FG, 36.1% 3-PT, 91.6% FT), 4.5 rebounds, 6.6 assists, 1.05 steals and 36.6 minutes in 73 games for the Northwest Division-champion Trail Blazers.

Also, he forged his name in the history books along with LeBron James, Oscar Robertson, and several other greats:

Lillard is the third player in NBA history to record 1,500 points and 400 assists in each of his first six seasons, joining LeBron James and Oscar Robertson, and is one of eight players in league history with 10,000 points and 2,500 assists in their first six seasons (James/Jordan/Archibald/Maravich/Bing/Robertson).

If these milestones are not deserving of an All-NBA selection, then we don't know what Lillard has to do to deserve it.
