In the dying seconds of the third quarter, CJ McCollum of the Portland Trail Blazers went full-throttle to the hoop, then, stopped on the dime, and sent defender Donte DiVincenzo of the Milwaukee Bucks to the floor.

Check out the clip below posted by NBA TV as McCollum forced DiVincenzo to touch the ground. He finished off the play with his signature teardrop lay up:

It was a crafty move by CJ McCollum who's not really known for his athleticism or smooth handles. He's known for his mastery of fundamental ball, and his skills were certainly on display in the clip above.

And moves like that has pushed the Blazers to a strong start. They won over the Bucks, 118-103, bringing their record to 8-3. McCollum himself had a big night with 40 points (19 points in the third quarter) on 65 percent shooting, six assists, and five rebounds.

He carried the slack as his backcourt partner Damian Lillard had a quiet night with 13 points, six rebounds, and three assists. Evan Turner and Jusuf Nurkic chipped in 16 and 12 points, respectively.

The Bucks, meanwhile, just suffered just their second loss in the young season and are now 8-2. Giannis Antetokounmpo had 23 points, nine rebounds, and six assists. Khris Middleton and Brook Lopez had 22 points apiece.
