The Atlanta Braves won the World Series despite being without a number of their key players, such as star outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr, who suffered a season-ending torn ACL while attempting to make a leaping catch in a July game. Despite the ongoing MLB lockout, the latest Acuna sighting will have Braves fans thinking World Series repeat.

Via MLB Trade Rumors and Spanish-language baseball news site El-Extrabase, Braves star outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. was spotted taking batting practice in his native country of Venezuela.

Acuna is one of the more explosive players in baseball, so it will be interesting to see how, or if, the ACL injury affects him in that regard. Still, the fact that the Braves star is already taking batting practice in January is quite a milestone in his recovery.

Acuna, a two-time All-Star, last played a full season in 2019, thanks to the pandemic-shortened season in 2020 and his campaign cut short by injury last year. However, the Braves star was awe-inspiring in 2019, as he clubbed 41 homers, stole 37 bases and scored 127 runs for Atlanta.

Braves fans will hope that Acuna can rediscover the form that made him arguably baseball's best player. The recent Ronald Acuna sighting brings hope that he can do just that.
