Atlanta Braves fans will sorely miss their longtime first baseman in Freddie Freeman as he heads west to join the Los Angeles Dodgers. But there may not be as much love lost from his former teammate Ronald Acuna Jr.

The Braves right fielder went on Instagram Live and was said to have opened up about his spotty relationship with Freddie Freeman in an interview with Yancen Pujols.

“I won't miss Freddie Freeman. We had friction, he didn't care when I was plunked. Freddie was overbearing and he wasn't someone I could talk to ever,” said the Braves star in his native Spanish.

However, Acuna Jr. claimed he never made such a statement. The Braves star even brought out some clown emojis as he disputed the translated words he said about Freddie Freeman.

While multiple sources seemed to indicate that the interview did take place with such soundbites, Ronald Acuna Jr. himself isn't in agreement.

The news, if true, is certainly a layered bit of news to hear if you're an Atlanta Braves fan. The team had just won the World Series with the title being a longtime coming for Freddie Freeman, who spent 12 seasons as their first base slugger.

Hearing about a potential rift between two of their most prominent players from the past few years, their longtime franchise star in Freddie Freeman the man they're hoping is their future in Ronald Acuna Jr., certainly isn't ideal.

But the goal is to win baseball games at the end of the day. While they may not have liked each other, if true, they were both plenty good at that.
