Rajon Rondo will have made $102,807,152 in NBA money once his current contract with the Los Angeles Lakers ends in the summer of 2021, per Spotrac.

The Phoenix Suns drafted Rondo with the 21st overall pick in the 2006 draft out of Kentucky. The team then traded the Louisville native to the Boston Celtics on draft night.

During his rookie season with the Celtics, Rajon Rondo made $1,143,600 and averaged 6.4 points and 3.8 assists in 23.5 minutes per game. The feisty guard earned $1,229,280 in Year 2 and increased his stats to 10.6 points and 5.1 assists. Rondo helped the Celtics defeat the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2008 Finals.

In Year 3 with Boston, Rondo made $1,315,080 and was now one of the best point guards in the NBA. He put up 11.9 points and 8.2 assists in 2008-09 and followed that up by signing a five-year, $55 million rookie-scale extension before the 2009-10 season started.

Rondo averaged 13.7 points and 9.8 dimes in 2009-10 while making $2,094,922. The Celtics got back to the Finals but lost to the Lakers.

Rajon Rondo's rookie-scale extension kicked in during the 2010-11 season. He made $9,090,911 and put up 10.6 points and 11.2 assists per game for the Celtics. Rondo did see his annual salary drop in the 2011-12 lockout year. He earned $8,085,366, played in 53 games and averaged 11.9 points and 11.7 assists.

However, Rondo made $11 million in 2012-13 and $11,954,545 in 2013-14, which turned out to be his last full season with the Celtics. Boston traded Rondo to the Dallas Mavericks during the 2014-15 campaign. He made $12,909,090 and finished the year with averages of 8.9 points and 7.9 assists in 68 games with the Celtics and Mavs.

In the summer of 2015, Rajon Rondo signed a one-year, $9.5 million contract with the Sacramento Kings. He averaged 11.9 points and 11.7 assists per game in 2015-16 and also led the NBA in assists.

Following his one-year run with the Kings, Rondo signed a two-year, $27.4 million contract with the Chicago Bulls in the offseason of 2016 to play with Jimmy Butler and Dwyane Wade. Rondo made $14 million and averaged 7.8 points and 6.7 assists with the Bulls. However, Chicago waived him after a year.

During the summer of 2017, Rajon Rondo was on the move yet again. He signed a one-year, $3.3 million contract with the New Orleans Pelicans. The one-time champion made $3,300,000 with the Pelicans and helped the team sweep the Portland Trail Blazers in the first round of the 2018 playoffs.

After battling him for years, Rajon Rondo was now teammates with LeBron James after signing a one-year, $9 million deal with the Lakers in the summer of 2018. Rondo averaged 9.2 points and 8.0 assists in 2018-19 while making $9 million.

Rondo re-signed with the Lakers on a two-year, $5.18 million contract in the offseason of 2019. He was set to make $2,564,753 in 2019-20 before games were suspended due to COVID-19.

Moving forward, Rajon Rondo will make $2,619,605 in 2020-21 if he picks up his player option with the Lakers. He has career averages of 10.2 points and 8.3 assists and is a four-time All-Star.
