As soon as midnight hit, the Lakers made a major deal to sign Timofey Mozgov to a 4 year, $64 mil team. It was a very alarming deal given the fact that Mozgov hadn't done too much this past season with the Cavs.
We knew this was going to happen though. Players were going to get obscene contracts because of the risen cap. Well, that wasn't the same for everyone as it turned out last night.
Jordan Clarkson decided to officially re-sign with the Lakers on a somewhat cheap deal given what other players around the league are getting.
Jordan Clarkson has reached agreement on a four-year, $50M deal to return to the Los Angeles Lakers, league sources tell The Vertical.

$50 mil for a player as good as Jordan Clarkson is a true bargain. Clarkson most likely arranged a deal to be able to leave some cap room available for the Lakers to continue to make major moves this summer.
We'll see soon who the next players they target will be.
