When the New York Giants drafted Daniel Jones with the sixth overall pick in this year's draft, the sports world was taken aback. Among the people who were surprised with the selection was none other than Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield.

Recently, the unflinching quarterback was involved in a GQ article and the topic of Jones popped up in the discussion. Mayfield didn't shy away from taking a shot at the Giants' rookie signal-caller and the New York organization.

During the draft process, Jones' name was rarely mentioned as being a quarterback who could go in the first two rounds, let alone a top-10 pick. In college at Duke, Jones had just 2,674 yards, 22 touchdowns, and nine interceptions in 2018. He did shoot up draft boards late in the process, but not many thought he'd be taken ahead of Dwayne Haskins.

Mayfield shares the same sentiment that a lot of fans and the media have but he shared his opinion in the only way he knows how to. Since coming into the NFL in 2018, Mayfield has been fearless and confident in the way he carries himself off of the field.

Unlike the Giants, the Browns didn't overthink their first-round pick in 2018 and selected Mayfield with the No. 1 pick in the draft. The rest is history after the rookie phenom threw for 27 touchdowns to break the single-season rookie record for passing touchdowns in 2018.

Along with the individual stats, the Browns quarterback was able to muster up some wins for a franchise that was 0-16 in 2017. In 2018, Mayfield led the Browns to a 7-8-1 record—the most wins by the organization since 2014.

It remains to be seen if Jones can be a difference-maker for the Giants, but it's safe to say that Mayfield isn't a fan.
