The Cleveland Browns put everything on the line to acquire Deshaun Watson via trade. However, doing so has rubbed Baker Mayfield the wrong way. The frustrated quarterback has been rather vocal about his displeasure with the organization. Now, he continues to bash the franchise while potentially getting traded soon.

During an appearance on the Ya Never Know Podcast, Mayfield claims he feels disrespected by the Browns. He's likely to be traded soon, but there has yet to be any rumored interest from other teams. Baker Mayfield also mentions how Cleveland told him “one thing and they completely did another.”

Essentially, Baker Mayfield is saying he feels like the Browns lied to him about what their motives were in the 2022 offseason. The NFL is a cut-throat business and stories like this happen more frequently than we'd like to believe. For example, the Seattle Seahawks didn't inform Bobby Wagner they were going to release him and he's a future Hall of Fame linebacker for that organization.

Now, Mayfield finds himself searching for a new home, but the location is yet to be determined. Cleveland has been asking for a first-round pick, but it doesn't sound like any other franchise is willing to pay that price for Baker Mayfield. With the 2022 NFL Draft right around the corner, maybe we'll finally see the Browns trade the disgruntled quarterback on draft night.

Even so, continuously voicing his frustrations isn't hurting or helping his current situation. It's fine for Mayfield to feel this way about the Browns, as many players likely share his opinions from their own experiences. We'll see how it all plays out, but we should see Baker Mayfield in a new uniform before the start of the new season.
