Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield is quite used to his name being dragged through the mud by television personality Colin Cowherd. But Mayfield had the last laugh Sunday night.

Cowherd previously said the Pittsburgh Steelers would “roll” the Browns in the Wild Card matchup between the two AFC North rivals, also chastising Mayfield for wearing his hat backwards during a press conference on Thursday.

Instead, Mayfield and the Browns rolled the Steelers, and Baker had his own subliminal message for Cowherd after the game, per Dan Gartland of Sports Illustrated:

Well, it was the Browns who rolled in Pittsburgh, behind a three-touchdown game from their backward-hat-wearing QB. Mayfield addressed the media after the game with his hat on facing forward but quickly realized his mistake and flipped it around in a not-so-subtle nod to one of the most joyless men on sports radio.

Cowherd's seemingly personal vendetta against the former No. 1 overall pick goes back to Mayfield's college days at Oklahoma.

The FOX Sports personality has consistently painted Mayfield as a lightning rod for controversy, also suggesting he does not have the chops to be an elite NFL quarterback.

Mayfield has never been shy about vocalizing his response to criticism. This time, however, he let his play do the talking. The 25-year-old threw for 263 yards and three touchdowns in the B. His third pass attempt was a 40-yard touchdown completion to Jarvis Landry, giving the Browns an early 14-0 lead.

Though Mayfield and the Browns benefited from five Steelers turnovers, they consistently moved the ball both on the ground and through the air. Now, Cleveland has a date with the No. 1-seeded Kansas City Chiefs. Surely Cowherd will have to pipe down if Baker leads the Browns to a win over Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs.
