The season is not even at the halfway point, but we can easily mark the Cleveland Browns as one of the biggest disappointments of the season. Browns head coach Freddie Kitchens knows that and is willing to take on the blame.

The Browns suffered a narrow 32-28 loss to the Seattle Seahawks, and the fans are understandably reeling from the narrow defeat. It was a messy affair that saw the team misfire plays that could have won them the game. As the Browns tried to sort things out behind the scenes, Kitchens braved the criticism and claimed that the loss was his fault and his fault alone:

Plenty of Browns fans were understandably upset with the way Kitchens has done things this season. After all, he has plenty of talent at his disposal. Baker Mayfield is still a promising quarterback in spite of the yips he has been experiencing in his sophomore campaign. He has former LSU titans ready to make catches in Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry. Nick Chubb is still one of the most explosive young running backs in the league. The defense, one of the Browns' most intriguing assets last season, was largely unchanged.

However, Kitchens is somehow squandering opportunities. Some Browns fans are already tired of the rookie head coach as he reminds them of former Browns coach Hue Jackson.

It's ironic that Kitchens is in this situation after being lauded as the savior of the Browns earlier in the offseason. It will be interesting to see if he manages to keep his job by the end of the year.
