Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield continues to get the hate. After the entire debacle Mayfield had with Odell Beckham Jr. and his father eventually led to the wide receiver getting traded, Kareem Hunt's dad spoke up next. According to Ben Pickman of Sports Illustrated, Hunt's father believes that Mayfield is scared and afraid to throw the football.

This comes after the Browns lost to the Baltimore Ravens, 16-10. Mayfield was subpar, completing just 18 of 37 passes and losing a fumble. It was also a very winnable game for Cleveland, as Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson had four interceptions. However, the Browns could not capitalize on the offensive side of the scoreboard, hence leading to their current record of 6-6. A win could have drastically altered the playoff chances for Mayfield and his squad, but the team now searches for answers regarding offensive production heading into their bye week.

Kareem Hunt himself had just seven carries for 20 yards rushed after returning from a calf injury. The rest of the offense wasn't much better, with Nick Chubb rushing for just 16 yards, and receiver Jarvis Landry being the only one with any actual offensive production.

The Browns and Baker Mayfield are in the midst of a rough season that could lead to serious changes in the roster. With Mayfield to be a free agent after 2022, his future with the team is under heavy scrutiny. If the Oklahoma product does not indicate to coaches and ownership that he can be their guy, the Browns could very well have a new quarterback in the near future.
