New Cleveland Browns linebacker Mychal Kendricks was fortunate enough to achieve a major career goal for just about every NFL player when he won the Super Bowl with the Philadelphia Eagles last season.

But now that he’s with the Browns, Kendricks has his sights set on checking another big career goal off his bucket list:

“We did something special over there [in Philadelphia], and I’ll always, always care and have love for those guys,” Kendricks said per Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal. “But I have personal goals, too. So being here allows me to reach those personal goals more so.”

What would Kendricks like to accomplish?

“Pro Bowl — I haven’t reached that yet,” he said.

Kendricks will have his work cut out for him in achieving that lofty goal in Cleveland, though. That’s because he’ll be competing for snaps at the middle linebacker spot-the position he will initially play-with Joe Schobert, who just happened to be the Browns’ lone representative to last season’s Pro Bowl. And in the other two linebacker spots in Cleveland's 4-3, there's also stiff competition in the form of Jamie Collins and Christian Kirksey.

But with his edge in experience over Schobert, Kendricks will likely be the frontrunner to start. He has also proven in stretches during his career that he has the sufficient talent to be a capable playmaker on any defense with his ability to do so many different things well.

If the Browns can hone in on Kendricks’ strengths-whatever position that may be-then a trip to the Pro Bowl may very well be on the cards for the new Brown.
