Following a struggle in Week 1, Odell Beckham Jr. scored his first touchdown of the season against the New York Jets on Monday night. Beckham Jr. broke free from the Jets defense, connecting on an 89-yard catch-and-run play with quarterback Baker Mayfield. The touchdown put the Browns up 23-3 in the third quarter.

Beckham Jr. struggled in the Cleveland Browns' season opener against the tough Tennessee Titans' defense, but was able to turn it around on Monday night against the Jets.

The Browns had a first down at their own 11-yard line when this remarkable play began. The Jets' defense thought the Browns were going to run and left two men to cover three receivers on their right. The receivers had Beckham and Jarvis Landry as part of their trips formation.

When the ball was snapped, Beckham and Landry immediately ran forward. The defender assigned to them hesitated, allowing OBJ to dash past him and get into open space. Baker Mayfield didn't miss the opportunity and immediately fired a bullet of a pass to his wideout.

Beckham caught the football in midstride and immediately dashed towards the end zone. The Jets' secondary tried to catch up to him, but there was no way to catch OBJ when he was at full speed. The play created a fantastic 89-yard receiving TD, easily OBJ's longest reception this season.

This isn't the only time Beckham wowed Cleveland fans and frustrated Jets supporters. He made a spectacular one-handed catch despite heavy coverage from Nate Hairston to help the team score its first TD of the game.

Plays like this are why the Browns actively pursued OBJ. Thanks to his efforts, Cleveland won first game of the season.
