Newly acquired Cleveland Browns wide receiver Taywan Taylor is informing his coaches about the team's Week 1 matchup with the Tennessee Titans.

The 24-year-old Taylor, traded to the Browns on Saturday, arrived from the Titans in exchange for a draft pick next season. Per ESPN reporter Jake Trotter on Twitter, the 5-foot-11 wideout is incredibly eager to learn about his former team and next opponent.

“[Taylor has] already been talking to the Cleveland defensive coaches about the Titans, their Week 1 opponent.”

The Titans selected Taylor out of Western Kentucky University in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft. Taylor went on to appear in 29 games over his first two seasons in the league, starting in only nine. He would finish the 2018 season recording 37 receptions for 466 yards and a single touchdown, averaging 12.6 yards per reception.

Taylor joins a Browns wide receiving corps headlined at the top by elite wideouts in Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry. Cleveland shocked the league by acquiring Beckham Jr. from the New York Giants in March after the receiver's relationship with the NFC East franchise's management soured. The Browns have surrounded second-year quarterback Baker Mayfield, last year's first-overall draft selection, a Heisman Trophy winner and Pro Football Writers Association's Rookie of the Year, with top-line targets to throw to.

Taylor hopes to break through and turn into a reliable receiver, too, potentially with double coverage coming Beckham and Landry's ways, the former Titans wideout could benefit from the elite company at his position.
