From Money Manziel to Mayfield's Money—another Big 12 quarterback has been granted an NFL rookie contract.

Baker Mayfield, the Oklahoma Heisman Trophy winner a year ago, is now the face of the Cleveland Browns after the organization selected him with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. Due to the nature of the new rookie cap rules (that structure each slot accordingly), few surprises come via rookie deals. However, four or five years is always a discussion. According to Darren Rovell of ESPN, Mayfield's first contract with the Browns will come, at least initially, via the four-year ilk.

“Baker Mayfield's four-year deal will be about $32.5 million guaranteed.

Four-year deal for NBA's #1 pick this year is about $41 million, but only first two years will be guaranteed.”

All told throughout the four years, Mayfield will bring home $32.5 million. Not a bad night for a kid whose draft status wasn't even near the first round this time a year ago.

After Mayfield, Saquon Barkley was selected second to the New York Giants, Sam Darnold third to the New York Jets, Josh Allen to the Buffalo Bills at seven who traded up, and Josh Rosen to the Arizona Cardinals at 10 who also traded up.

But on this night, Baker Mayfield stole the show with the shocking first overall pick via the Cleveland Browns.
