Splashy additions to the roster aren't the only changes the Cleveland Browns are making. In addition to adding players  Odell Beckham Jr., Kareem Hunt and Olivier Vernon, the Browns will have an entirely new look in the near future.

The Browns are overhauling their uniforms, starting with the 2020 season, according to Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com. “I think we got it right this time,” Browns owner Dee Haslam said.

The current uniforms have been the subject of intense fan criticism over the years. The Haslam's promised to make progress on the issue around a year ago, and they took another step today. The Browns are generating as much excitement as any team in the league these days, and the new uniforms will only help their re-brand.

Getting new uniforms is fitting for the team, as they prepare to enter a new era of football. Thanks to Baker Mayfield, the franchise has received a much-needed jolt of energy. Fan engagement is off the charts, and everyone in the Cleveland area seems to be excited about the Browns for the first time in a long time.

We don't know what they'll look like yet, but Haslam seemed to imply relatively major changes. The team seems to be creeping out of the darkness that has swallowed them up since they brought football back to Cleveland, and getting new uniforms is just the latest sign that these aren't the same old Browns.
