Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Antonio Brown was placed on the COVID-19 list earlier this week, but there was still some optimism he could be ready to go by Sunday for the team's Week 3 meeting with the Los Angeles Rams.

However, Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians gave an update on Brown's status and doesn't exactly have much hope he'll be ready to suit up:

AB is fully vaccinated, yet he still tested positive for the virus. He's been effective through the first two weeks of the season for the Buccaneers, collecting six catches for 138 yards. His best game was in Week 1, leading the Tampa receiving corps with five receptions for 121 yards and a touchdown.

Brown would have to provide two negative tests before Sunday and based on Arians' comments, it doesn't seem like that's going to happen. Despite his absence, the Buccaneers won't have any shortage of targets for Tom Brady. Scottie Miller and Tyler Johnson will see more touches in LA as a result. The likes of Chris Godwin and Mike Evans are healthy and ready to go as well.

It's not a massive loss for Tampa Bay, but hopefully, Antonio Brown will be back on the field for Week 4 against the New England Patriots.
