The Tampa Bay Buccaneers is just one team on the market for a quarterback this offseason. Of course, they need to fill the gaping hole in their roster left behind by legendary quarterback Tom Brady.

However, it doesn't sound like they plan on acquiring one from within the league. According to head coach Bruce Arians, the Buccaneers aren't holding onto the idea that a proven quarterback will be available for them to pick up.

The Athletic's Buccaneers reporter Greg Auman tweeted the news Tuesday afternoon.

Arians has a good point. Why would a team like the Colts or the Seahawks trade Carson Wentz or Russell Wilson unless they had a new guy set up?

No reports have come out stating that any teams with “proven” quarterbacks are ready with replacements yet. So, how will the Buccaneers fill their seven-time championship-winning void?

According to recent rumors, they might not have to. Many people, including those close to Brady, don't believe that he is finished in the NFL. Despite his retirement being announced twice, it's hard to believe that the GOAT's career is over.

Buccaneers' general manager Jason Licht said Tuesday morning that the franchise will “leave the light on” for Brady. He also said that the team is working on plans to move forward “if that's that case that we need to move forward.”

If the Buccaneers don't acquire a quarterback through a trade, they could also utilize their 27th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.
