The Tampa Bay Buccaneers almost pulled off an incredible comeback from a 24-point deficit against the Los Angeles Rams, but it wasn't meant to be. After the game that saw the defending champions exit the NFL playoffs, head coach Bruce Arians had the perfect description for the frustrating ending.

Speaking to reporters in his postgame media availability, Arians didn't hold back his thoughts on the loss and the brutal ending. The Buccaneers didn't give up and had the momentum going in their favor in the fourth quarter, but they ultimately fell short and failed to stop the Rams from scoring the game-winner.

The Buccaneers fell to 20-3 at halftime of the Sunday showdown and even saw themselves trailing 27-3 at one point in the third quarter before a late Leonard Fournette touchdown cut the lead to just a two-touchdown game.

Interestingly, the Buccaneers fought back and actually tied the game at 27-27. Unfortunately for them, a career-defining drive from Matthew Stafford paved the way for the Rams to be on field-goal range. Of course they didn't waste the opportunity and sealed the deal with a 30-27 win.

While many thought that Brady would work his magic again to lead the team to victory, the Buccaneers certainly have no one to blame but themselves for getting into a huge hole early on. They weren't able to make the stops they needed, and they were punished by it in the end.

Bruce Arians is right that the ending of the game is rather brutal, but Tampa Bay can certainly learn from it.
