It's the calm before the storm. On Sunday, Tom Brady will make his much-awaited first return to Gillette Stadium since joining the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as they visit his former team New England Patriots.

Of course, the storylines are aplenty. Numerous articles have been written recently about the allegedly stained relationship between Brady and Patriots coach Bill Belichick, prompting the star quarterback to bolt for the Buccaneers, who immediately won a Super Bowl title.

But the 44-year-old Brady already clarified that he and Belichick don't have bad blood. He said they separated amicably and handled everything “perfectly.” So now, his main focus is with the Buccaneers, and based on his latest remarks, it's clear he's quite happy with his decision to leave the Patriots (via ESPN).

“I'm super excited about what we've got here. I've got a great group of coaches here, an amazing group of guys that still motivate me and inspire me to be the best I can be for this team and this organization. I've just had a great last 18 months. It's been very fulfilling in a lot of different ways. I love my football experience here as well.”

Brady has been having a grand time with the Buccaneers, as he's looked more energized compared to the previous years. It's safe to assume that the change in scenery reinvigorated him despite playing for two decades now. It certainly helps that he has solid guys around him, including Rob Gronkowski, Antonio Brown, and new addition Richard Sherman.

The Buccaneers will look for win no. 3 against the Patriots on Sunday.
