Tom Brady has set to establishing a relationship with some of his new teammates in Tampa Bay. Buccaneers Pro Bowl wide receiver Chris Godwinwho will cede the No. 12 to Brady–posted a photoshopped image of he and Brady on the field together, with the caption, “New number, same mentality!”

Brady, in turn, commented on the photo. The six-time Super Bowl champion said, “Much Appreciated – Very Grateful – Humbled And ready to get to work!!!”

Godwin put up huge numbers last season even with Jameis Winston under center. The 24-year-old had 86 catches for 1,333 yards and nine touchdowns in just 14 games, ranking second in receiving yards per game and fourth in touchdown receptions.

While Godwin will certainly welcome the opportunity to play alongside arguably the greatest quarterback of all time, Brady might be the one who feels more gracious at this juncture.

Brady struggled in his final season with the Pats in 2019, as injuries to the offensive line and an underwhelming group of receivers led to some poor advanced stats on his part.

However, the Bucs have some of the most talented pass-catchers at each position. Opposite Godwin is three-time Pro Bowler Mike Evans, one of the best deep threats in football. At the tight end spot, both Cameron Brate and O.J. Howard have shown flashes of their prolific potential.

The Bucs still have holes to address. They do not have much of a running game and will be sure to upgrade the offensive line in the 2020 NFL Draft.

However, Bucs fans have every reason to be excited at Brady's potential, given the offensive weapons and head coach Bruce Arians' wide-open offensive scheme.
