Tom Brady has announced his retirement from the NFL. No, for real this time. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback sent out a heartfelt message on Instagram to confirm the news that preemptively spilled just days prior.

While Brady singled out several positive influences throughout his career, from his wife Gisele Bundchen to his Bucs head coach in Bruce Arians, there was a rather conspicuous omission of his former team, the New England Patriots as well as his longtime head coach in Bill Belichick.

Perhaps Tom Brady is planning a separate post for his much meatier stint with the Patriots, where he spent ten times more seasons compared to his time in Tampa Bay.

However, it could also be an indication of the rift that's been talked about between Brady and Belichick as the two went their separate ways two seasons ago.

The fact that there was not even a passing mention of the Patriots, New England, or Belichick (trust me, I triple checked) is just so glaring to ignore.

Whether this means anything or not, however, doesn't take away from the potentially GOAT career that Tom Brady has had with both the Patriots and Buccaneers. But rest assured this will re-heat at least some of the rumored beef that's been sizzling over the past two seasons.
