The Milwaukee Bucks are still looking to move forward Greg Monroe, according to ESPN's Ian Begley. The team has been trying to do so for a while, going as far as last season as head coach Jason Kidd has struggled to find a consistent spot for him within his rotation.

The development of rookie Thon Maker could make all the difference for the Bucks, being able to fit in as a forward/center hybrid that can block shots tenaciously and has a decent perimeter game that is constantly improving.

Monroe is one of the few old school power forwards that stands and bangs on the block — an excellent rebounder and scorer on the low-post, proving to be a load even for 7-footer Jonas Valanciunas of the Toronto Raptors in the first round of the playoffs.

The Georgetown product played a career-low 22.5 minutes per game last year, dropping his scoring average from 15.3 points per game in 2015-16 to 11.7 last season.

Monroe opted into the final year of his contract and is slated to make $17.9 million, the second-highest salary for the team behind Giannis Antetokounmpo‘s $22.4 million sum.
